Chocolate Hazelnut Bliss Balls

These delicious treats are made with walnuts and hazelnuts, but feel free to experiment with different nut mixes based on your preferences.

Ingredients:

2/3 cup of Hazelnuts
1/2 cup of Walnut
3 tbsp. Nut butter (we use almond butter)
3 tbsp. Cocoa powder
5 Medjool dates
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:

1. Set aside 12 hazelnuts. Add the remaining hazelnuts and walnuts to your food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Remove and reserve 1/4 cup of ground nuts for later use.
2. Pitt the dates and add them to the food processor along with cocoa, vanilla and nut butter. Turn on the food processor and mix until it comes together. The consistency should be crumbly and be able to be formed into balls. If necessary add more nut butter as a binder if balls do not completely form.
3. To form the balls roll the mixture in the palm of your hand and press a single hazelnut into the centre, then shape into a round ball.
4. Take each of the balls and roll it in the chopped nut mixture that had been set aside in reserve.

Enjoy! These keep well in the fridge or can be frozen and thawed as desired.
