Place the first ten ingredients in order into the bread pan, and place pan in bread machine. Put on sweet bread and regular crust settings. When the machine beeps, or 30 – 35 minutes later, add the dried fruits and lemon peel. Bread will take about 3.5 hours to bake.
Glaze if desired, when cool. Mix 1/2 cup icing sugar with 1/4 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp milk or enough to get a runny consistency.
