1 cup raw Styrian pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
Optional spices such as black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, sumac, cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder. If you’re not sure how strong you want the flavour, start with less, a pinch or around 1/8th tsp.
Preheat your oven to 300°F.
Mix together the pumpkin seeds and the liquid soy sauce or soy alternative and put the pumpkin seeds on a baking tray. Place in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, stir, and monitor closely for about 5 more minutes. When the pumpkin seeds are done they will be dry, begin to puff up, and smell deliciously toasty.
Remove from the oven once done, and allow to cool to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container.
