Banana Walnut Chocolate Chip Muffins

You can have muffins for breakfast, dessert, snacks or whenever you like to eat them; they’re delicious!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup whole brown sugar, or palm sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup raw walnuts

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Mix the first four ingredients together.

In another bowl mix together the bananas, egg, sugar, butter and vanilla extract. Once that is well combined, add the walnuts and chocolate chips.

Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture until just combined.

Spoon your batter into a prepared muffin tray. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the muffin comes out clean; careful not to over-bake!

This recipe will make 6 large muffins, or 12 small.
